The Dynamic Duo --
The Salt Fork and Double Mountain Fork of the Brazos on the
Texas High Plains Brazos River Watershed

STAKEHOLDERS

"They had not yet done more than survey the sites for the new dams, five between those two that had already risen during my life.  But the squabbling had begun between their proponents and other otherwise-minded types -- bottomland farmers and ranchers whose holdings would be inundated, competitive utility companies shrilling 'Socialism!' and big irrigationists downstream--who would make a noise before they lost, but who would lose."
From John Graves Goodbye to a River 1957

For LfU, determine who the stakeholders are in the motivational setting that has been selected.

Stakeholders can be people, organizations, land owners, cities, etc.  Do not use animals or "things" for stakeholders, but people or organizations that may "represent" them.

Who are the stakeholders in your motivational scenario?

What do I need to learn to know more about this? (knowledge construction)

Notes for the Teacher

ACTIVITIES

  • Complete Stakeholder Sheets
This template should be more complete after the knowledge construction. This will be completed prior to and after the knowledge construction. Students will be able to look at the situation and be able to apply their knowledge.
